Attorney Nick Heimlich Will Ride at the Tour de Menlo

Jul 11, 2016

Attorney Nicholas Heimlich will be participating in this year’s Tour de Menlo event on August 20, 2016 at the Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, CA. Attorney Heimlich will be going for the 46-mile route of the tour.

Nick Heimlich is a San Jose litigation lawyer with years of experience in representing individuals and businesses throughout the state of California. He has handled large cases in the past. In one successful case, he was able to win a $45 million settlement for a client involved in a breach of contract case. He has also worked on defending clients and has helped them in saving substantial amounts of money by limiting their liability.

As a successful lawyer, Attorney Heimlich has given back to the community. He has participated in events like the upcoming Tour de Menlo. Another charity event that he has participated in is the LETR Bike the Bridges that took place on June 12, 2016. That charity event was held to provide support to the Special Olympics programs in the area.

The Tour de Menlo event is being sponsored by the Rotary Club of Menlo Park Foundation. The funds that will be collected at the event will be used for Rotary scholarships and servicing the community. In 2015, the foundation gave out more than $100,000 in scholarships. They assist outstanding high school students who are in need.

Most of the students assisted by the foundation are those planning to attend colleges and universities, but it has also assisted some who want to attend community colleges in the area. The foundation is also helping the community with projects like tutoring injured veterans and supporting organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Midpeninsula.

Participants of the event will have the option of joining the 35, 46, or the 65-mile routes. All three routes would start at the Menlo-Atherton High School. The final rest stop of the tour would be Madrone Park. The participants can then head back to Menlo-Atherton High School for the group lunch that would be held at the courtyard of the school.

Of the three routes that are available, the 65-mile is the one that is proving to be the most popular according to organizers. But the 46-mile route, the one that Attorney Heimlich will be joining, is also attracting many participants. The two longer routes offer some uphill ride, while the 35-mile run is mostly flat, but it should be enough to give participants a good workout.

On top of the exquisite post ride lunch, the ride also has four water/ rest stops, to help make sure that participants are not drained. Lutticken’s Deli will be the one catering the post ride lunch at Menlo-Atherton High School.

To ensure the safety of all riders, a telephone-dispatched SAG vehicle will be patrolling the routes. Members of the Rotary Club will also be on the ground to give directions at key points.

Attorney Nick Heimlich will be joining the event to help the scholars and the various community projects that will benefit from it. There are few better ways of helping out while having fun and getting an exercise all at the same time.
