Starting July 1, 2025, the following location jurisdictions increased their minimum wages. These are cities and counties whose minimum wage exceeds the California minimum wage. All wages are quoted on an hourly basis.
In Northern California, the new minimum wages for these cities/Counties:
- Alameda: Increase from $17.00 to $17.46
- Berkeley: Increase from $18.67 to $19.18
- Emeryville: Increase from $19.36 to $19.90
- Fremont: Increase from $17.30 to $17.75
- Milpitas: Increase from $17.70 to $18.20
- San Francisco (City): Increase from $18.67 to $19.18
In Southern California, the new minimum wages for these cities/Counties:
- Los Angeles (city): Increase from $17.28 to $17.87
- LA City and Santa Monica Hotels: Increase from $20.32 to $21.01
- Los Angeles County (unincorporated areas): Increase from $17.27 to $17.81
- Long Beach Hotels: Increase from $23.00 to $25.00
- Pasadena: Increase from $17.50 to $18.04
- Santa Monica: Increase from $17.27 to $17.81
- West Hollywood Hotels: Increase from $19.61.50 to $20.22
